Long time

So I haven't posted for a while!

Friday my dad came down. We went out to dinner at Red Robin to celebrate Troy getting promoted to CP the day before. Yes I know Red Robin very exciting. It was just nice to go out to eat. The girls did a good job. Riley is going through that phase that makes it tough to go out to eat. We spent the rest of the night at home. We let the kids take a bubble bath which is Tatum's favorite. She would sit in the bath all day if i would let her. After the kids went to bed we watched Kitchen nightmares, Gordon Ramsey is a amazing chef who is really fun to watch on TV. We called it a night kinda early.

Saturday morning I changed the carseats over to my dads jeep. As I was taking out our DVD player I happened to smash the part that plugs into the lighter and shatter it. This was not good because my dad was going to drive 2 hours back to Omaha with the girls later, and a Movie makes the drive much better. After the craziness of getting ready we went to brunch at Granite City, which was amazing as always. While we were there they let us go into the prep room and watch as they announced to the staff that Troy was going to be the CP of that store. Tatum didn't like it back there too much, so as soon as they announced it we had to leave. My dad decided to buy the girls a new dual DVD player for the car. Thanks dad!

As for Saturday night me and Troy got to have a date night which felt great, not havign to worry about being home at a certain time. We ended up meeting up with some other managers from Granite City and probably stayed out later than we should have considering Troy had to open this morning. Sorry hunny! I hope you day goes good.

I will probably slack on posts this week because it is going to be boring in our house, hopefully lots of cleaning. The girls are at my dads, and he is very excited to spend the week with them.

Daddy's few days off

Did I not tell you that I would for get to post!!

The past few days have been very nice with daddy home with us. Monday we had a fun day and stayed in our nice warm house. It was SUPER windy outside. The girls did the normal routine and watched Polar Express in the morning, ate lunch, and went down for naps. Then after naps Tatum got to go with dad to rent a few movies. We watched Horton Hears a Who, and ordered pizza. All in all our day in was a lot of fun.

Tuesday morning we just hung around the house. again a normal morning. Mom got to sleep in and Dad woke up with the girls. That night after dinner we went up to Valley West Mall for Family night. We are glad that we showed up early cause the girls got to jump and get there face painted with pretty much no lines. We had to wait to go down the big slide, but it wasn't nearly as long as when we left. We hung out for a hour or so and let the kids burn some energy. Things Tatum got to do while we were there: Jump in the inflatables, go down a little slide all by herself, get her face painted like a butterfly, go down the big slide with mom, color, get a balloon, and we bought some ice cream on our way out. What a fun night!!

As for what today brings, some more relaxing at home! Let's hope that over time I get better at remembering to post.

Grandma visited

We had a very exciting day today!! To start the day off we had a clog in the sink and had to have someone come out and unplug the grease that was stuck. He got water all over the kitchen floor. not so fun.

Grandma Jimenez and Robert came and visited us for a little bit after there retreat. They came over to the apartment to check it out for a bit, then we went to go eat at Joe's Crab Shack. It was very yummy. While we were there Tatum saw the playground and wanted to go play. She had a hard time understanding that it was freezing out and snow was on the ground, but she made it through.

Riley tried Crab for her first time today and loved it. Of coarse Tatum didn't.

After that we went to Target and bought Riley a pair of boots, then spent the rest of the night at home. Dad got off work at about 4 so the girls got to spend quite a bit of time with him before they went to bed.

All in all today was a good day, let's hope that we don't get any snow tonight/tomorrow and that we can go out and do something fun with daddy on his day off.

Dora

Yesterday we had a fun day at home in our PJ's. Mom and the girls spend most days during winter at home in our PJ's.

In morning Tatum and Riley talked with Nathan on Skype. Tatum loves talking on skype, she gets really excited and jumps all over the place. It is a fun way to get to see everyone since we currently do not live in Omaha.

While Tatum was sleeping today, and after Riley woke up from nap, mommy was watching TV. The show must not have been too interesting to Riley cause she handed mom the remote and said "Dora." It was a really cute way of her asking to watch Dora.

As for the rest of the day we just relaxed and hung out. Taum was very excited for daddy to get off of work and spend sometime with her.

Today we are hopefully going to see Grandma and Robert, or Dobert as Tatum calls him. They are attending a retreat here in Des Moines. Let's hope that I can remember to post again tonight about the fun we have today.

New to this

I am creating this Blog for my children. I want them to have something to look back at.

Today has been a kinda crazy one, Ry woke up at 3:30 this morning and then again at 5:30 for the day. Dad got up with her, but mom was up shortly after discovering she had a fever from teething. Poor Riley has had a very hard time teething, with high temps and wanting to do nothing but lay on mom or dad it makes it difficult to get anything done. Luckily today after giving Riley Medicine and a nap she woke up in a great mood.

Troy is working a mid today, which means he goes in around 9. This was good for up cause he was able to pick up some medicine for Riley this morning. Thank God that I didn't have to get both girls ready this morning to go get some.

Tatum has been a trouper. She got a little jealous of Riley snuggling with mom this morning, but dad was right there. Of coarse we watched the Polar Express this morning.

The girls are now down for naps, which gives mom time to start this Blog. I hope to keep this going for a long time. I am not good at doing stuff like this, but want something for my kids to look back on like I said earlier.

I wish everyone the best of days, and don't forget to smile!
